One thing to note… because of its unique position, getting to this resort can be a bit bumpy and the transfer time is approximately ninety minutes. If this a concern we recommend a helicopter tour to the George F.L Charles Airport which is only about 15 minutes away from the Grande. Even if you’re comfortable with the drive, this flight to the north is one that you’ll remember for a lifetime!

• The Red Lane Spa at Sandals Grande St. Lucia is one of the best and it features a rare amenity in that it includes a eucalyptus steam room. All guests have access to this but it’s rarely used so make sure to visit and enjoy this experience!

• The main pool hosts a swim up bar and it’s where all the activity takes place. The playmakers are a blast but if you’re looking something more relaxed there are secluded retreats around the resort.

• The Beach is beautiful and ocean water is crystal clear. If you’re into snorkeling you can see beautiful fish and coral right around the main pier.

• There are plenty of lounge chairs around the pools and on the beach. 

• The Water Sports Team is amazing and there is so much to do. Including, sailing, scuba diving, kayaking, snorkeling, paddle boards, etc. If you want a lesson, they’re more than happy to oblige.

• The Dive Team is exceptional and the diving in St. Lucia is amongst the best. If you’ve ever wanted to see the pitons from the ocean, this is a great way to do that both above water and below.

• The bartenders are a lot of fun and will make sure you’re having a great time.

• While we think Sandals Grande St. Lucia is the best resort on the island we love getting off the resort and visiting the other properties. As a guest of the Grande, you stay at 1 and play at 3.  Best of all there is complimentary shuttle service both to and from Sandals Regency LaToc and Sandals Halcyon Beach.

Additional considerations and tips about Sandals Grande St. Lucia:

• The resort transfer takes approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours over windy narrow roads. It is a scenic drive but for those who are prone to car sickness it might be best to consider the helicopter transfer that cuts the transfer time down to about 15 min (plus a short drive to the Grande).

• Dinner reservations are required for some restaurants. If you’re in a Club Level room, contact your concierge as soon as you arrive to make your reservations as they tend to fill up quickly. If you are in a butler category, consult with your butler so they can do it for you. Those in the luxury categories, there is a food and dining representative in the main lobby who’ll assist you with this.

• All of the beaches in St. Lucia are public so there will be a fair amount of people selling tours but they are not pushy and a friendly "no thank you" is enough to let them know you’re uninterested. If you are interested, there are some good ones include the Simon Says & Joe Knows tour.

• Guests are able to walk to the village and to Pigeon Park.  You can climb Pigeon Mountain for $7.00.  The spectacular views are well worth it.  Wear Sneakers!
